# Looking for a CRM/Inventory Solution for a Traditional Saree Business in Varanasi

Hello everyone,

I run a saree business in Varanasi and recently I’ve been exploring options for building a custom CRM/software for my shop instead of using basic billing tools.

I’ve noticed that many [software development company in Varanasi](https://www.rrvstechnology.co.in/services/software-development-services-uttar-pradesh-india/) are now working on custom ERP/CRM solutions for local businesses, especially retail and wholesale shops. Because of that, I’m also planning something tailored for our workflow rather than using generic software.

Main things I want to manage:

1. Customer database
2. Saree inventory with design codes/photos
3. WhatsApp inquiries & order follow-ups
4. Billing and order tracking
5. Staff access management
6. Repeat customer history

I wanted to ask the community:

1. Is it better to build from scratch or customize an existing CRM?
2. Which backend/framework would you recommend for scalability?
3. Any suggestions for inventory-heavy retail workflows?

Would appreciate genuine recommendations and experiences from people who have worked on similar systems.
