# Talk id generation

According to the guideline : before the application  
it says 1. Sign Up at [OpenELIS Talk](https://talk.openelis-global.org/) and **get an ID**  
is there any process to get an id and what is it for?

your user name is your ID generally that means sign up ontalk and have a username !
