Hi OpenELIS Team,
I’m Prajwal Hawaldar, a passionate AI/ML enthusiast from India excited to contribute to OpenELIS via GSoC 2025.
I’d love to propose a unique AI-driven module called “SmartLab,” focused on improving data quality, insight generation, and predictive analytics within the lab workflow.
Core Features:
- Deep learning–based anomaly detection on lab results (to catch errors and outliers)
- Predictive trends from historical test data (e.g., forecasting rising glucose levels)
- Visual alerts and auto-suggestions for lab technicians
- Lightweight ML model (using TensorFlow/PyTorch) deployable as a microservice
The goal is to add intelligence to OpenELIS in a privacy-safe, non-invasive way. I believe this could unlock tremendous value for low-resource labs globally.
I’d love your thoughts on this idea — and I’m happy to start contributing to smaller issues right away.
Thanks and regards,
Prajwal Hawaldar
