I run a saree business in Varanasi and recently I’ve been exploring options for building a custom CRM/software for my shop instead of using basic billing tools.
I’ve noticed that many software development company in Varanasi are now working on custom ERP/CRM solutions for local businesses, especially retail and wholesale shops. Because of that, I’m also planning something tailored for our workflow rather than using generic software.
Main things I want to manage:
- Customer database
- Saree inventory with design codes/photos
- WhatsApp inquiries & order follow-ups
- Billing and order tracking
- Staff access management
- Repeat customer history
I wanted to ask the community:
- Is it better to build from scratch or customize an existing CRM?
- Which backend/framework would you recommend for scalability?
