Hello community ,
I would like to introduce Aditya Deshlahre@aditya as October’s volunteer of the month.
Following the call for selecting October Volunteer of the month , he has been nominated as the best volunteer amongst other volunteers.
He has participated in our community dev call helping out other folks , he has helped review other developer’s Pull requests and also has been contributing code for the past year.
Here is a little Background from him self.
I am based in New Delhi, India, and currently studying at the University of Delhi, majoring in mathematics and minoring in computer science as a junior. I started my journey with OpenELIS by finding a small bug in the main application’s help document, which was not redirecting correctly. However, I wasn’t able to fix it initially due to a lack of context regarding the codebase. Gradually, I began joining developer community calls, where I learned more about the codebase. From there onwards, I started fixing some translation issues and UI bugs, eventually progressing to rewriting entire pages in React.js. My further involvement began with Google Summer of Code 2024, where OpenELIS participated as a mentoring project. I applied immediately, and it turned out to be the best mentoring experience, providing valuable guidance on writing code, fixing bugs, and debugging. All those learnings continue to serve me well to this day.
We are Glad to have you @aditya in our community
