GSoC Introduction 2026 - Pranjal (Java)

Hi OpenELIS Community,

I’m Pranjal Singla, and I am currently a 2nd-year B.Tech student ,and a backend developer having a strong foundation in Java and Spring Boot, excited to contribute to OpenELIS Global for GSoC 2026.

I have successfully built the project with Maven and have the Docker environment running.

A Small Blocker: I’m currently unable to log in with the default admin / adminADMIN! credentials. I’ve tried a fresh database reset (down -v), but the “Invalid Credentials” error persists.

I’m eager to fix this so I can start diving into the backend service layers. Looking forward to some guidance!

Update: I’ve successfully resolved the login issue on my local setup! Now that I’m in, I’m starting to explore the backend service layers. Ready for any guidance on initial tasks or bugs I can look into!
