Hi everyone,
I’m preparing my GSoC 2025 application and have been actively contributing to OpenELIS I’ve submitted three PRs so far, and two have already been merged! I’d like to learn more about the selection process for GSoC contributors working on our projects. Could someone please share:
- On what basis are GSoC contributors chosen for these projects?
- What skills or previous contributions make a candidate stand out?
- Any tips on how to increase one’s chances of being selected?
I appreciate any insights or advice from the community. Thanks!

I did read the “Preparing for GSoC 2024” post and found it very helpful. I was wondering if there’s anything additional I can do at this stage to better prepare for the program. Any further tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
