I’m Raunak, a B.Tech student interested in open-source development. My primary background is in Java and Spring, and I’m currently exploring the OpenELIS with the goal of contributing meaningfully.
I’ve checked the suggested project ideas and am particularly interested in working on the Generic Robust Reporting Framework. What should I do next to get started and contribute effectively.
My name is Sairam Bisoyi, and I’m an engineering student from IIT Guwahati,India looking to contribute to OpenELIS Global.
I’ve been exploring the codebase and found myself really interested in the backend engineering side. I noticed the backend integration test coverage is currently around 18%, which aligns perfectly with the “Improve Integration Tests coverage” project idea proposed for this year.
I checked the Active Issues page to start contributing, but it looks like most beginner issues are currently taken.
To get started immediately, I have analyzed the JaCoCo reports locally and I am currently looking at the org.openelisglobal.sample.service module, as I noticed it has almost 0% coverage. I plan to start writing some integration tests for the core services there to get familiar with the test infrastructure.

I’m Diya Jain, a B.Tech Computer Science student with a strong interest in open-source development. I have hands-on experience with Java, backend development, and software testing, and I’m particularly interested in improving test coverage, unit tests, and integration tests.
I’ve been exploring the repository and noticed several test-case related issues (such as missing unit tests, integration tests, and test enhancements). I’d love to start by contributing to these areas and help improve code quality and reliability.
Could you please guide me on which test-related issues would be best to pick up first and any contribution guidelines I should follow?
