It’s important to understand the value of your contribution regardless of whether you are hired as a GSoC apprentice 
. The OpenELIS community thrives because of people like us who are committed to improving healthcare around the world by using open-source technologies. Our future endeavors will surely be strengthened by the skills, knowledge, and experience we have gained on this journey.
Remember that GSoC is a milestone rather than a conclusion. There are many opportunities to become more involved with OpenELIS, from starting new projects to working with other community members. We implore you to continue being involved, to keep going and growing with the community, and to keep having an impact.
