Hi, my name is Jim Miller and I have a 30 year career and healthcare IT laboratory information systems. I’ve worked for Fletcher Flora LabPak/FFlexesuite), Merge healthcare IBM Watson health, subject matter expert on LIS for Athena Health, LIS administrator, Florida Cancer Specialists/AON and Roche Diagnostics… i’ve been a medical assistant, instructor and trained many medical technologist how to use LIS systems And they have taught me a lot as well… I had a settle embolism in July 2022. We were then hit by hurricane Ian at the end of September of 22. We suffered damage and subsequently our insurance company Went insolvent. The aftermath of the embolism and the hurricane have been very difficult. I’m looking forward to learning more about open ELIS. I have extensive background on LIS implementation, upgrade, conversion migration, and the corresponding logistics while doing so. Like my house during the hurricane, I suffered some damage from the embolism. I’ve been fighting for two years now to get back on my feet. I started a nonprofit called 22 Recovery Court is an outreach for veterans at risk of suicide. 22 veterans a day take a permanent solution to a temporary problem as a veteran myself dealing with major trauma and events in life sometimes it can seem like the answer is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, I will not accept that answer I aspire to teach others my trade. I’m excited that I found Global ELIS I believe it can be instrumental and put together a system that will take us into the next ERA of healthcare IT. If you have questions, please email me at patient.technology@outlook.com
